John Bernhart's Grist Mill
Located on the southern edge of Laureldale north of Reading in Muhlenberg Township. Take Montrose Ave. south in Laueldale to Spring Valley Road. Turn left and the mill is on the right just back from the junction of Spring Valley Road and Crystal Rock Road. It is on the north side of Bernhardt Creek at the westerm end of Bernhardt Resevior.

The 3.5 story limestone former grist mill has a footprint of about 45'X 55'. Some brown sandstone stones were used in the quions (larger criss-crossed corner stones).
