From Starksboro, go north on Sr 116 about 0.7 miles to State's Prison Hollow Road, turn left and go 0.4 miles to the mill on the right alongside Lewis Creek.

This mill is for sale. The owner lives near Boston and only used it for a summer home.
It has been a few years since it was a B & B.
Rough boulder strawn stream is typical of Lewis Creek in this area.
Residences on the other side of the creek just slightly upstream.
The mill was built in 1799, using the turbulent water of Lewis Creek to grind wheat and corn for the local farmers of the Starksboro vicinity.
A small turbine that might have, at one time, power the mill.
