The first mill on this site was built c. 1830 by John Snyder.

In 1860 Joseph B. Noble bought the mill and rebuilt it after a fire. Noble ran the mill with his sons.

The next owner was A. B. Woodcock who then sold it to Maurice Clouse and R. O. Teeter in 1922.

Mr. Clouse became the sole owner in 1928. The mill stopped producing blankets in 1969.

Most of the machinery is still there. The story, down in Bedford, is that the mill is operating by only one man.
