The Red Mill/Jacob Bare's Mill/Red Mill Inn, 1930's &40's/Kopper Kettle Restaurant/Jolly Coppersmith, 1970's/and up to June 2006 KClingers Publik House are the names of the mill structure down through the years. After milling stopped, it was possibly a speakeasy during the prohibition years. Purchased in 1999 by the KClingers, the mill underwent radical change, the raceway filled in with concrete for structural support and additional structure added for dining, replacing the earlier additions.

The mill was built in 1835 by Jacob & Mary Bare of red sandstone to produce flour using a 14'x 4' Fitz overshot waterwheel to power the buhrstones. The mill race went under the mill with the wheel being located under the lower barroom during milling years through Kopper Kettle days.

The mill, now known as KClinger's Publik House, has been greatly added to, especially the left side. The sack hoist and 28" thick stone walls attest to the structures milling history. Milling ceased about 1921; however, it had been converted to the roller process sometime prior.
