Take Pa 841 at the Pa/Maryland state line and go north for 0.1 miles to Strickersville Rd. Turn right(east) and go about 1.3 miles to Big Elk Creek. The mill is situated on the northeast side of the creek.

A small stone grist mill on Big Elk Creek very close to the Maryland line. The mill was known as Hodgson's Mill in 1810, and J. B. Mackeys Grist, Bark & Clover Mill in 1860.

The 2.5 story structure has been renovated to serve as a private, residential dwelling.

A large Palladium window has been installed in the front gable end of the mill, perhaps displacing a former door and sackhoist.
