Wilson's Mill
The mill is located in Harford Co., on Sh 161 midway between Darlington and Level, where Sh 161 crosses Deer Creek. The mill is situated on the west side of the Darlington Road and can be easily seen from the road.
The 1810 mill is located in an attractive setting along Darlington Road in the Dublin District of Harford County.
Notice the clock just below the peak of the gable roof. This clock actually works.
This is the interior mechanism of the clock immediately inside the wall under the gable peak.
No milling equipment remains in the mill.
The miller's house is situated on the hill above the mill and across Darlington Road from the mill.
Just before Route 161, a sloping three-foot dam at Wilson's Mill is runnable, although canoes will "clunk over." Anglers and visitors are attracted to this dam, which is surrounded by trees and shrubbery forming an enchanting scene of rustic beauty and rural life.
