Willow Grove Mill

Isaac & Elizabeth Nestleroth(Nestleroad) built the current 40'X 65' 3.5 story brick mill along the Little Conestoga Creek at Fairview Park in Manor Township in 1853. The previous mill, of 30'X 30' stone was built by Rudy Herr before 1759, then sold in 1812 to Benjamin Kauffman. This old mill was owned by Jonas Eby from 1921 through 1824. Some years lapse, then Martin Harnish put the mill up for sale in 1844.
In 1852,Isaac Nestleroth purchased the mill, builds the new brick mill a year later, and sells to Jacob N. Metzler in 1857. George Lavan is the next owner, keeping the mill ten years before selling to John Breneman in 1870. Breneman's "Willow Grove Mill" was sold to B. Eshback (Eshbach) in 1899 and was closed in the early to mid 1900's by Harry H. Eshbach. The mill was renovated to serve as a manufacturing facility and storage for fertilizers, with many of the window and door openings concreted in, by 1987 and known as 'Marglo Co.'.
