From Pa 413 at Pineville, Pa., turn right on Township Line Road and travel for 1.3 miles. In the village of Wycombe, turn right on Forest Grove Road, cross Mill Creek, and the mill is on the right.
The old 30'X 55' fieldstone mill, standing 2.5 stories, was built in 1743 by Thomas Lacey. At various times troughout it operating years, it was known as Carver's Mill, Patterson Mill, and Wycombe Mill. It closed in the mid-1920's, causing the building of the Histand Supply Mill across the creek in Wycombe. The mill was converted into a residence at this time.
As seen in the photo, Forest Grove Road runs very close to the mill/residence. The side of the structure has been modified to accomodate traffic, but the roof corner is still a hazard to truck/semi. traffic.
The view of the mill and the 1905 stone arch bridge, consisting of 5 srches, spanning Mill Creek. Mill Creek separates Buckingham and Wrightstown Townships at this location.
