A flour mill and possible a power generating plant, now converted into a fine dining restaurant with many small outside decks on which to enjoy the view while dining.

The sign indicates the building was the Thornbury Mill, although nothing could be found about its industrial history.

The Beaver River is impounded behind the triple spillway dam, creating a mill pond.

The waters released from the dam and the mill are returned to the Beaver River; thence,making its short way to Nottawasaga Bay, then to Georgian Bay, and finally Lake Huron.

The Restaurant is called 'The Mill Cafe`' at 12 Bridge Street.
