Follow US 24/Anthony Wayne Trail/Toledo-Napolian Rd. to Sh 578/becomes Bridge St south, cross the Maumee River to Route 65 into downtown Grand Rapids. AT Sh 65, turn right on E. Front St, pass Monroe & Wapakonita Rd. The mill is between Wapakonita Rd. and Mill St.
The millhouse in winter, now known as the Mill House Bed & Breakfast since 1992. The mill, built in 1898 from locally quarried stone & locally cast & fired brick was once a working, steam powered mill. The Phoenix Roller Mill or Stump's Mill produced "Stumps Best" flour. The mill was renovated in 1972 for other use. Today, just as it always has, t he former steam mill is situated along the Miami & Erie Canal/Gilead Sidecut Canal and the Maumee River, designated a scenic waterway by the state of Ohio.
