About 6 miles south of Quakertown on Pa 212, turn left on Pa 563/Mountain View Drive, go about 5 miles, turn right onto Deer Wood Lane/a Nockamixon State Park road, and go about a mile to the boat basin. Park and hike on the 1 mile trail that runs SW along the lake, then turns NW at some park structures along a lake finger. The mill site is at the end of the trail by the dam and interpretive signs with the millstone.

Verse for Thought
"You, Lord God, have done many wonderful things , and you have planned marvelous things for us. No one is like you! I would never be able to tell all you have done."

The dam that is still in place along the Old Mill Trail. Two similar dams exist further upstream.

A natural spillway from the dam, flowing down over the rocks, almost like a falls. *Update: Just discovered your website. I have an old record/ledger from 1864 which I believe is from the Stover mill in Bucks County, PA on the Tohickon creek. The particular Stover mill I'm referring to is the mill site in Haycock Township. The ledger came to me from my grandmother who was the daughter of Alice Stover, who was the daughter of Jonas Stover, who was the son of "Miller Jake". I have been unable to determine who may have kept the ledger, however, I know that this location was the home of our branch of the Stover family. Do you have any suggestions or information which might be helpful in determining the author of the ledger? Any informtion would be appreciated. Thanks. Vienna Harr 07/04/20010*

The falls or spillway from a viewpoint looking down on the falls. The mill stood several hundred yards to the left and below the dam, along the then Stover's Mill Road as seen on the photo of the mill.

The Stover Mill that used to be at this site. Stover Mill Road used to cross the Tohickon Creek, coming off of Ridge Road ("The Ridge" as it was better known as) and connecting with Cobbler Road on the NW side of the present Lake Nockamixon.

The present lake edge. The mill was torn down in the late 1960's as the dam was being constructed. The site of the mill has never been under water, or at least seldom. The mill operated into the 1940', but was in much disrepair by the 1960's, so the decision was made to have it removed. Another landmark gone.
