Exit I-476/Pa. Turnpike NE Extension onto Pa 663/John Fries Hwy. eastbound. Turn right onto Allentown Road and travel south through Milford Square for about 1.5 miles to the mill at the bottom of the hill at Umbreit Road at the Unami Creek.
Schull's Mill/Sholl's Mill House at the corner of Allentown Road and Umbreit Road at the Unami Creek.
This photo from the Library of Congress website is a cropped portion of the mill complex from about 1910. The Campbell's Mill Bridge to the right was built in 1907. The miller's house is much the same, except the double porches have been enclosed. The mill is to the left along Umbreit Road on the creek side in the photo.
This photo shows the new bridge built about 2005 to replace the 1907 concrete Campbell's Mill Bridge. The foreground area is the area in the old vintage photo fenced in on the left of the bridge.
A view of the Sholl's Mill house from the angle of where the mill would have been. The mill was built as J.S. Schull's Grist Mill, then became Pott Mill, then Fochts Mill and finally Campbell's Mill by the early 1900's. Fochts Mill gave the next road to the south that turns left off Allentown Road the name Foulkes Mill Road. Foulkes Mill, the English version of the German Fochts Mill.
