Southbound on PA 611/Easton Road, veer left onto Deep Run Rd., then turn right onto Quarry Road and go down the hill to the mill site at 244 Quarry Road, Ottsville on Deep Run Creek.
The miller's house associated with the Henry Krout's Mill. The house and the mill were both built about 1769.
The actual site, some foundation walls remain, of Krout's Mill at the corner of Quarry Road and Creek Road along Deep Run Creek.
Henry Krout bought the property in 1762 from William Allen. Allen had it deeded to him in 1750 from William, son of William Penn.
The mill was sold in 1858-60. After that , there was a succession of owners. The mill itself was torn down around the time of World War II.
The current owner, Louis F. Dierking, bought the property in 1991. It is truly one of Bucks County's premier historical showcases.
