Shofer's Mill / Old Dutch Mill
Follow the directions to Kutz's Mill (Pa-06-15-02), go through the covered bridge and turn right on Sacony/College Rd., turn right again, staying with Sacony Road; Knittle Rd. goes to the left. The next right is Dutch Mill Road. Cross Sacony Creek, turn right with Dutch Mill Rd., Adams Road contiues to the left, and the mill is the one story massive stone barn/shed-like structure on the right on Dutch Mill Road.

The 40'X 55' massive stone mill has enormous quion stones to tie the corners together.
The mills roadside face leaves one to conclude that the owner is in the metal recycling business.
Need more history on this mill built in 1811.
Dutch Mill Campground is in the nearby area.
The Sacony stone-arched bridge spans Sacony Creek just south of the mill. The first separate arch carried the tailrace under the bridge back to the creek. The other three arches merely funneled the creek under the Dutch Mill Road.
