Seem's Linseed Oil & Clover Seed Mill
Turn right off Pa 29 west of Emmaus onto Little lehigh Drive, about 0.6 mile north of Pa 29 junction with Indian Creek Road & Macungie Avenue. Go about 0.3 mile, turn left onto Little Lehigh Dr. N. and go down the grave hill to the mill across the junction with Orchid Road along the Little Lehigh Creek.
Originally a linseed oil and clover seed mill built in the first decade of 1800. The builders name is unknown at this time. The House was also built about the time the mill was built.
The mill was sold many times prior to Conrad Seem's purchase of the mill in 1835.
Conrad Seem Jr. ran the mill after his father, selling in 1871 to Edmond Romich (Romig). Romig closed the mill in 1903.
Ambrose Myers renovated the mill into a summer bungalow soon after it ceased operating in 1903.
The Little Lehigh Creek looking upstream toward the dam, which is in good condition.
The miller's house, for sale, next door to the mill, now a residence. The mill was the residence of Rowland Bachman in 1922, was vacant and neglected for several decades, but now has been reclaimed and serves as a unique private residence.
The barn across Orchid Road from the miller's house. An unusual placement for a bank barn, buttted up against the hillside and right in the middle of a wooded area. Granted the woods have grown up since the mill has been inactive.

The front of the bank barn. The far wall of the barn has a blind wing creating a sort of storage alcove.
