Schull's Mill / March's Mill
Four miles north of US 422 on Pa 662 from Douglasville turn right on Blacksmith Road just south of Amityville, right imediately on Levingood Road Follow for about 2 miles to the mill on the left just before crossing Manatawny Creek.
The 35'X 50' brick mill stands 3.5 stories high since being built in 1850 by Lida Schull. The mill replaced an earlier stone and frame mill which operated as a grist and clover mill for the Boone family, Thomas Boone being the last to operate that mill.
The mill passed to Isaac F. March, then to Isaac Fegley before being operated by M. Rhoads.
The bridge by the mill is named Weidner's Mill Bridge. This may have been owned for a time also by Mahlon Weidner, who also owned the Manatawny Mills just upstream.
The mill has been converted to apartments. The Spoom location for this mill is near Pa 662 and Tollgate Road, but this is in error. *Update: The mill has never been apartments; but is a single family dwelling. Thomas Bosler 08/06/2009*
