S. J. Dickey Cotton Factory / Hopewell Cotton Mill
From the town of Oxford, take Lancaster Ave/Pa 472, west a short distance and turn left onto Bethel Road. Go 0.1 miles and keep left on Calvary Road for about 0.7 miles, then turn right to Lower Hopewell Road prior to crossing Tweed Creek. The mill is ahead about 0.1 miles on the right at 209 Lower Hopewell Road., Oxford.

The 1860 atlas shows the S. J. Dickey Cotton Factory at this location.
The 1873 atlas shows the Hopewell Cotton Works, operated by William C. Dickey.
The structure is stone plastered/stuccoed with reinforcement rods running the length and breadth of the building.
The cotton mill was later a facility involved in either cutting metal sheeting and/or producing machines that did such, as depicted by the old drillpress/bansaw tool alongside the road by the mill.
