Ruins; M. Maas Grist Mill / Joe Miner Property
North from Pleasantville, Oley Township, on Covered Bridge Road for1.3 miles, continue as the road becomes Oysterdale Road for 1.5 miles, turning right on Carl Road for 0.5 miles to the mill site and miller's house on the right across Oysterville Creek.

Closeup from inside the mills two remaining walls of the outlet arch.

The gristmill was built c. 1792 by M. Maas in a Georgian style of architecture.

The house across the street has a few millstones in the yard and the man who lived there for 20 years knew that the ruins were some sort of a mill, but nothing more.

A datestone on the miller's house reads: M M & C M 1790.

Another view of the proximity of the mill ruins to the miller's house.

The year 1792 for the date of the mill structure and the builder, M. Maas was located on the Philadelphia Architects and Buildings website.
