Verse for Thought
"Know where you are headed, and you will stay on solid ground. Don't make a mistake by turning to the left or the right."

The last operator of the Craighead Mill was Wilbert Diehl. The mill burned during his years of operation, probably the late 1940's to early 1950's.

Diehl moved his operation to the old country store at Craighead by the railroad tracks and he continued to mill until his death. Charles Murphy & Elmer Clouse bought the mill after Diehl died and operated it until after the 1970's. They also had operated the old Senseman Mill in Boiling Springs at the same time, but closed that in 1968.
