Verse for Thought
"Israel, you have rejected me, but my anger is gone; I will heal you and love you without limit, I will be like the dew--then you will blossom like lilies and have roots alike a tree."
({Hosea 14:4 & 5 CEV})

The mill built in 1812 is 37' X 42' on Marsh Creek. *Update: This mill was operated by my great grandmother, Margret Nary Rothhaupt, as Rothhaupt's mill. She raised my grandfather Lloyd Rothhaupt, and his brother and sister Harry Rothhaupt and Eva Rothhaupt Pape at the mill. Her husband Edward Rothhaupt died and she was left to run the mill alone for over 40 years. I can get you dates and more information at home. I'm at work now. My mother Eva Rothhaupt Crowl is the only living grandchild but she spent many of her summers at the mill helping her grandmother. She is at Country meadows assisted living on trolley rd in York Pa. and could tell you many interesting stories about the mill. Do you have any photos of the bridge before it washed out? I also may have a photo or 2 of the store located inside the mill if I can find them. I also have an original Rothhaupt's Mill sign. Doug Crowl 09/10/2009*
