Ludwig Englehard's original 1743 grist mill was replaced in 1830 by this mill erected by George Kemmerer. Rollers consisting of three stands and two turbines were added in 1896, when the mill was bought at sheriff's sale by Amos Weidas.
Henry & Stanley Weidas, Amos' two sons continued to run the operation into the early 1950's. Then the mill was sold to Harold McNeil, who transformed the still formidable structure into apartments.
