RUINS: Robert's Mill #2
From US 30/W. Lancaster Pike in Ardmore, Pa. go east on Woodside Road 1 mile, then left on Mill Creek Road for 2 miles to junction with Old Gulph Road. The mill ruins are just to the left on Old Gulph Road as you turn left from Mill Creek Rd. onto Old Gulph Rd.
An old grist mill from the early 1700's. Has long been an attraction with its one standing stone wall. It stands within about 3 feet of busy Old Gulph Road, which is why there is white zebra markings on the lower portion of the wall.
This dam is situated behind the mill in an amazingly open wooded glen. The small narrow dam on Mill Creek spills over the top. The dam appears to be a natural rock outcropping in the creekbed. The manmade stone wall on the far side was built to prevent streamside erosion of the creekside banks.
