Verse for Thought
"You called in trouble, and I delivered you; I answered you in the secret place of thunder."
({Psalm 81:7 NKJV})
Jim Miller 10/08/1992
The mill was a 2.5 story sone/frame structure. George Washington had a headquarters here in 1777. The mansion and farm of former Penna. Gov. Samuel Pennypacker, 1903-1907, is across Pa 73 off Haldeman Road. The mill is on the same property as the historical mansion and farm. The mill was used in later years as a tavern, and it was serving in this capacity when it burned to the ground in the middle of the last century.
