There are other additions since the original mill structure. To the right of and connected to the mill is a 3 story brick building with mansard roof about 25'X 45' in dimension. It was probably constructed as a warehouse for the mill.

Simon Koller had first built a sawmill on the property, then in the early 1830's, sold the property to Heathcote because he didn't like the encroachment toward his property of the Baltimore & Susquehanna Rail Road. The RR stop close to the mill was called Heathcote, which was later changed to Glen Rock in 1843 when the post office was established.

The other side/left has a frame building attached; now of which, is part of the restaurant and inn that the mill has been renovated and remodeled into.
