Otterdale Mill
From Taneytown, travel southeast on Trevanion Road to a right on Otterdale Mill Road to the mill on the right just after crossing the bridge the over Big Pipe Creek.
This photo, taken in the summer of 1991, shows the edge of the dam and the water inlet, bar screen, and inlet gates.
The mill has lately been used as a turbine powered freezer, locker plant.

Inside Otterdale Mill
The mill was built in 1865,by J.A. Bostion, according to inscription above the upper door.
A major crack has developed in the upper right corner of the block/frame addition on the downstream end of the mill, not visible on this photo, but is visible in photo #4.
