Old Stockertown Grist Mill
About 5 miles north of Easton, Pa. at the southeastern edge of Stockerton Borough at 96 Main St/Sh 115 at the Little Bushkill Creek between Old Easton Highway and Old Mill Lane.
An old stone mill covered in stucco located at the southeastern edge of Stockertown Boro.
An old loop of the Old Easton Highway exists across Sh 115/Centre St. from the mill. *Update: My mother grew up in this old grist mill on Centre St. in Stockertown on the Bushkill Creek. The last I had heard, a family by the name of Perdue had purchased it...back in the 1980's. The address was 103 or 133 Center St. Supposedly built in the mid 1700's. Fred Brong 08/14/2006*
The current residence converted from the closed down mill is situated in a nice grove of trees just south of the Little Bushkill Creek and its junction with Bushkill Creek.
Old Mill Lane, a dead-end street, lies just to the left of the picture, branching off of Sh 115. More history is needed for this mill.
