Follow directions to the Newport Mill. Go only about one mile from Forge Mill Road on Red Mill Road. The mill is near Mt. Airy Road turnoff, but on the opposite/right side of Red Mill Rd.

The mill is an old weathered 2.5 story frame mill of 35'X 55' Gothic style. The catshead and doors are on the long side in a Victorian peaked gable. The mill was in fair to poor condition and appeared to be a residence or vacant.
