Old Bridgepoint Mill
From the southern end of the US 611 Bypass, travel about 0.5 miles further on S. Easton Hwy. and turn right on Quarry Road. Go about 500-600' and turn left on Edison Road. The mill is on the left, a 3.5 story stone/stucco apartment house.
The 35'X 70'stone/stucco former mill of 3.5 stories has now been made into apartments at least since 1992 or prior. The mill had a store/post office section connected with it in the late 1800's/early 1900's. A catshead was situated in a dormer about midpoint along the Edison Rd. side, with 4 doors vertically up the side of the mill, culminating with the dormer sack lift. More info needed.
Old schoolhouse at Edison, just up the road from the mill, now a residence.
The buttress of the old stone arch bridge across the Neshaminy Creek near the mill.
The roadway that turned the corner to go over bridge which is now walled off. Trolley s also ran across the bridge as can be evidenced by the still visible tracks.
Old blacksmith shop that was an artists studio in the 1930's.
