O.A.Cooper Mill/Humbolt Flour Mill
In Humbolt,Nebraska, proceed north on Ne 105 (Nehama St) and turn right on Valley St., the second right past the Burlington Northern RR tracks. Turn right from Valley onto Nims St., then proceed to Railroad St. Mill should to dead ahead. A big complex, hard to miss.
The original mill was built in 1879 as a steam mill. It burned in 1885, burned again in 1922 and this mill was built in 1923.
A mill update for 1992, stated that the mill was still producing as the Humbolt Flour Mill. I didn't see any activity of operation in the late afternoon in August 2004. A mill of this size would be operating in shifts around the clock, especially the modern additions on the west end.

Destruction of Cooper Mill 02/21/2017
A driveway coming out of the mill. The entrance for this exit is situated to on west end of the old mill structure, just where the new, modern structure begins. Apparantly, trucks were driven into the mill to be loaded, then driven out this exit in an earlier day.
A view of the Burlington Northern side of the mill complex. *Update: This feed mill was closed in late 2003, at the time, being owned by ADM Alliance Nutrition. R Cooper 08/20/2010*
