From Leesburg, go south on US 15 less than one mile to Harmony Church Road/Va 704 on the right. Turn right and go about 1.0 mile to Dunlop Mill Road/Sr 770. Turn left and go 0.1 miles to where the road bends to the left. The mill will be sitting to the right about 100 yards off the road.

In 1774 George Nixon bought some land and in 1777 built this mill.

When George died, his son, John inherited the mill.

The mill operated until sometime in the 1930's. The miller's house, in the photo, was built in 1787.
