The Newtown Cut Cereal Co. operated for about 3 years, then went bankrupt. It was used many years as a RR freight warehouse
*Update: The mill is still standing. Newtown Beverage had been there since 1940, first being known as Delaware Beverage Co. The company left last year, 2006, and the building is still empty. Walter Hammer 07/15/2007*
The mill became became the Delaware Beverage Co. after being a RR warehouse, and in 1983, was the Newtown Beverage and Distributors. Was in good condition in April 1983. Need info on dates, operating history.
The mill has two levels of buildings. The upper, higher one is 25'x30' and 3 stories high, while the lower part is a story lower as far as rooflines go, but is actually comprised of the same number of stories.
This section is the same width, 25', but longer at 42' and of 3.5 stories in height.
