Mehring's Carriage Factory
It is located on south side of Cemetary St., just east of the intersection with Queen St./Sr 97 across Cemetary Street from the Keystone Flour Mill which has been taken down sometime between 2007 and 2010.

The brick residence on the corner of Queen and Cemetary was built in 1885 and his 31' x 70', 2 story workshop and warehouse, the warehouse on the lower story while the paint shop and finishing room occupied the upper story.

The business employed from 12 -15 workers throughout the year, using the best materials and craftsmanship so that the customer received honest value for the money.
Mehring specialized in the manufacture of fine buggies and carriages. The buggies sold for $100 and up while the carriages continually brought $175-$250 into the companies coffers. This photo was taken from the vacant lot that used to contain the Keystone Milling Co.
