The small, brick mill is located behind the Contoocook Cotton Mill Complex on Bear Hill Road along the river, off Bridge Street/Sr 149 and south of US 202, as part of the Contoocook Cotton Mill Complex, in the town of Hillsboro, NH

This mill was built in 1846 by Josiah Marcy. It was used as a grist mill until 1884 when it was converted into a picker building for the cotton mill complex. GPS: 43D 6.805'N, 71D 53.59'W ele 621'/190 meters Concord Quadrangle

A complex of 10 frame and brick buildings; the first was built by Joshua Marcy in 1828 to manufacture cotton products. John Butler Smith built the large mill near the river in 1865 to process wool products. This became the Contoocook Mills in 1882 and complex was completed c.1900. Paul and Leslie Belliveaus acquired the mill and renovated to be used for residential housing. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
