The address is 4858 Main Street, Manchester Center, (in earlier years called Factory Point).
An early mill was built in town by Timothy Mead on land given to him for the purpose of building a grist mill in the area. This may have been as early as the late 1700's. The photo shows the falls on the West Branch of the Batten Kill.
In 1825, Myron Clark arrived in town and purchased the Mead Mills, which included a tannery, woolen factories and distillery.
The Clark family was responsible for making Factory Point a thriving part of town. About 1840, Myron rebuilt the old grist mill and operated it for some years.
In 1924, Earl Fowler took over the mill and ran a feed and grain business out of it.
Then in 1975, Walker Kimball Jr. purchased the mill and renovated it to house a real estate office.Update: His sons, Walker Kimball III and Steve Kimball, now own the mill. courtesy of Allison Piper- 08/02/2019
