Luckenbach's Grist & Flour Mill
From pa. 378 follow signs ot Bethlehem's Historic Industrial Complex just west of the Historic Moravian Collage on Main Street.
View of Monocacy Cr. and some of the Old industrial Complex. Grassy area on the immediate right is the site of the 1765 Lindseed Oil Mill. Further back to the left, is the 3.5 story limestone Tannery. Straight back is the Luckenbach Grist Mill with the miller's house and log spring house.
Massive 3.5 story brick flour & grist mill built in 1869 after previous 1743 grist and 1751 fulling mills had burned. Main east-west portion of mill footprints to 35'x65', while the north portion of the same height footprints out at 35'x40'. Both sections have slate gambrel roofs with dormers.
Main section of mill has four doors with a dormer catshead on the southeast side while the west end of the same section has four doors and a gable catshead. Much of the building is now dedicated to interpretive displays of the Industrial Complex as well serving as offices for various businesses.
