The present owner of the mill, Keith Hayden, said the present structure goes back to the late 1800's.
Keith said his father purchased the mill in 1957. At that time the mill was still milling and mixing feed.

Sometime during the 1970's the milling ceased and the business switched to all bagged products. In 1984, Keith purchased the mill from his father, and continued the business until 2012.
So, the Hayden family ran the mill for 55 years before selling the business in 2012. The new owners have moved the business to another location in Adams. The Hoosac Valley Coal & Grain Corp, 44 Spring St., Adams, MA (413) 743-0163
