From US 11 in Shippensburg, take Pa 533 west about 4.5 miles. The mill is situated on the south side of Pa 533 just past Blind Lane, and before coming to the village of Orrstown.

The limestone mill was built in 1793-94, by Adam Hilderbrand for John Herron.

Some of the equipment used by the mill were two water wheels, two pair of stones, three bolting cloths, with roller screen and fan hopper boy.

The mill ceased operations in the 1930's.

In 1950's, the mill was owned by Miley M. Gettel. In 2008, it was being used for a livestock shelter, redominently sheep.
