Verse for Thought
"Overthrown, overthrown, I will make it overthrown! It shall be no longer, until he comes whose right it is, and I will give it to Him."

A photo of an early photo when the mill was known as the Lancaster Farmers Cooperative about 1915. Thanks to Tom Longenecker, the Market Master for Roots Country Market & Auction for permission to photograph, post on the web, and for the mill's history as known.

The mill was the Hempfield Mills, then Walgemuth Mills sometime between the 1930's and the 1950's.

In the 1970's the mill was a landscaping and garden supply business.

This rainy day, the Roots Country Market & Auction was having a hard time keeping things dry. The tables were either hurriedly emptied or never loaded with merchandise. The interior has a vast amount of goods and items of interest for sale. It is great that the mill building has found a new use that is compatable with it's original purpose.
