A new or pared down mill was probably built about 1840, as in 1841 and 1843, an enlarged? stone flour mill was for sale, but it only measured 55'X 45', the dimensions of the present mill turned White Oak Ice Plant. The old mill must have been the 60'X 80' mill. A 100' headrace and a 600' tailrace serviced the mills two turbines from the 6' higher dam upstream. The flour, grist, and saw mill had a production of 10 barrels/day of flour.
