Dannebrog Pioneer Grist Mill
Go 13 miles north of Grand Island, Ne., on US 281, turn left (west) on Ne 58 and procede 10 miles to the town of Dannebrog. Turn right in the center of town on Mill Street and go 500-600' to Oak Creek bridge. The millsite is just on the right on the far side of the bridge.

The mill was moved on 1889 to the site on Oak Creek in Dannebrog by a man named Janson.
Ruins that remain of the last mill Dannebrog Mill on this site that closed and was torn down in the 1950's. It was known as the "Pioneer Grist Mill", and was one of the oldest structures in the state.

A placque, placed by the Nebraska State Historical Society, in the center of town in front of Columbia Hall, an ediface used by the Danish Brotherhood Society and the Danish Sisterhood Society.
