Damascus Mill
The mill is on the corner of Reynolds and W. Front St. in the town of Damascus. From Abingdon, take US 58 to Damascus and look for Reynolds St. on the left. Turn left and go the end of the street. The mill will be on the left.
An old frame grist mill dating from the mid to late 1800's.
The old mill has been converted into a conference center with lodging and restaurant facilities.
The old mill, with recent additions to accomodate the conference center, used to be clad in tin/corregated siding.
The Laurel Creek side of the conference center.
The mill dam is still in good condition. Either this mill or an earlier mill on the site was called Mock's Mill. The community used to be known as Mock's Mill after the earlier mill.
