Well restored and maintained 2 story grist mill in village of Coffeetown. Very attractive and inviting pvt. residence with built-on garage tastefully done to blend with mill surroundings.

The Coffeetown Grist Mill, built in 1762, became the center of the community of Coffeetown on Frys Run, seven miles south of Easton, Pa. The grist mill, while grinding wheat for flour and other grains for livestock feeds for local farmers, also served as, at times,as a post office, a candy store and even a schoolhouse.

Millstone along the side of the mill along Kressman Road. It began to be used as a fertilizer factory in the 1930s. In the 1950s, the property was divided and the three stone structures sold separately.

Rear view as seen by coming down Kressman Rd. to junc. with Coffeetown Rd. The log cabin, formerly above and to the right of the mill, may have been the original home of the mills builder, Jacob Reich.

A view of the 1820 stone miller's house from Kressman Road approaching Fry's Run. Kressman Road, now separating the mill and the house, was non-existant in 1825. The road coming down off the hill from the left, that today is Kressman Road, was then a narrow dirt track that continued past the mill the north side of Frys Run to the Delaware River about 1/4th mile to the east.

The datestone on the gable end of the 1820 stone Miller's house across Kressman Road from the mill. A stone addition was built, in the 1820's, on the rear of the mill to house the once external overshot waterwheel. Much of the text for the mill borrowed from Gordy Callison.
