Charles Hedrick Grist Mill
From Main St./Pa 63/Sumneytown Pike in Mainland, turn northeast on Freed Road, go about 0.8 mile, continue left on Yoder Road for 0.6 mile, turn right on Fretz Road, go under I-476 and turn right on Cassell Road, go about 0.6 mile to the mill on the left (dead end-bridge is out).
A residence built on part or all of the foundations of the Hedrick Grist Mill.
The original mill race appears to have branched off the Skippack Creek upstream, and approached the mill from the right side above & behind the mill as pictured.
The termination of the former bridge across Skippack Creek. The bridge was a small steel acrh bridge.
The obvious tailrace across Cassell Road from the mill, is now channeled under a neighboring driveway then continues in the picture below to reenter the Skippack creek just southeast of the old bridge abutments.
The continuation of the tailrace prior to emptying into the Skippack Creek.
More information is needed for this little gem now someones home.
