Brodbeck's Mill
From a south heading on Baltimore Street/Sh 616 in Glen Rock, turn left on Valley St. which becomes Valley Road at the boro. line. Procede about 1.2 miles, just past the junction with Forry Road, to the mill on the down a small hill between the road and the creek.
The 2.5 story fieldstone and frame mill complex was built in 1830, utilizing Georgian and Queen Anne architectural styles.
Not certain which parts are original; probably the stone rear section along with the two story structure on the left connected by the enclosed stairs are the original mill.
The mill complex was purchased in 1980 by Joy Keller Brown and husband with the idea of refurbishing. Congratulations on a job well done. Perhaps the owners could comment on which parts are original if known.
