George Braucher's 3 story grist millbuilt on laurel Run in 1839 greatly increased the economic importance of Laurelton.

The mill, situated at an important crossroads, soon became the economic hub of the community.

Braucher operated the mill for 18 years, then Samuel Sharck, followed by Charles H. Shriner. R.V.B. Lincoln, O.K. Pellman and Andrew Herbster also operated & owned the mill in the later years.
