Blackstone Mill / Pillow Mill
Go 10 miles NE on Pa 25 from Millersburg, Pa. on the Susquehanna River and turn left, north, on Pa 225. Procede north for another 4 miles to Pillow. Turn right off Pa 225 onto Union Alley, go several blocks and the road should turn into Mill Road. Follow to the end of the road at the creek and the mill.
The impressive reddish/brown/blackk stone mill measures 45'X 60'.
The structure rises to a height of 3.5 stories and looks to have been converted into a private residence.
The mill has been completely restored and is operational. *Update: The mill was left empty after hurricane Agnes. Then ten years later I had it making 45 kwh of electricty. - Ted Keck
The mill is owned by Ted & Holly Keck, who operate a business selling fossils, rocks, blacksmithing supplies, and antiques out of the mill.
