This sawmill was built by Daniel Bertolet in the Oley Valley in Berks County, Pennsylvania circa 1810. In 1972, it was moved to the property of the Daniel Boone Homestead, where famous pioneer Daniel Boone was born in 1734.
Today, the Bertolet Sawmill is occasionally used for sawmilling demonstrations for visitors of the Daniel Boone Homestead. It was functional up to 1934 at its original location in the Oley Valley.
