Lewis Bergstresser moved to Waterfall in 1845 and planned to build a mill there. He died in April of that year and the mill was not built by him.
His Son, Wilson Bergstresser, owned and operated a mill in the late 1800's. It is possible he built the mill.
The sign for the current mill, built in 1974 to replace the mill in the second-last photo, built in 1874.
Twp banded, sectional French buhrstones at the mill's entrance.
Clark Benson Bergstresser also was a miller at this mill. There was a fire in 1874 and the mill was immediately rebuilt. The one in the photo is the rebuilt mill from 1875, which stood until a fire claimed it in 1974.
David Phillip Knepper purchased the second mill in 1944 after working there for one year. Although David passed away in 1967, the mill was still operated by David's heirs as late as 2013.GPS: 40D 7.63'N, 78D 3.66'W ele 909'/277 meters Pittsburgh Quadrangle
