The original Bennion Flour & Feed mill consists of a three story brick mill with basement of 35'X 50' dimensions. The 1903 mill had since undergone a facelift at various times.
Numerous silos. storage bins, and hopper bins have transformed the structure to be competative in the 21st Century. In 1946, Nelson & Sons bought out the Bennion families holdings to become Nelson & Sons Flour & Feed Mill.
In the 1950's, the flour production was discontinued as was soon after the livestock feed supply. The mill then adjusted & revamped to become a fish food production mill, designing, mixing, and supplying fish food to various agencies, targeting specifically the game/wild fish populations.
Nelson & Sons, Inc. slogan/business motto today is, "Silver Cup, Helping restore native aquatic species to the wild". Bravo to this cutting edge company with preservation of aquatic species of animal/fish at the heart of their work ethic.
