Belvidere Flour Mill / Fandrich Supply Co.
Located six miles southwest of Winchester on US 64 in the village of Belvidere. The mill is located at the west end of town at Post Oak Rd.
The present owners are the fifth generation of the Fandrich family to operate the mill.
The original mill was built in the mid to late 1800's.
Two large feed mixers for mixing differing batches of livestock feed.
A bagger for filling 50 lb. sacks of whole kernal corn, possibly designated as seed corn.
In 1899, the Fandrichs purchased the mill and have operated it ever since.
The tan building in the center is open on the left side, resulting in the separate storage bins in picture # 11. The old merchant store is to the extreme right in the photo. Note the vintage Texico sign.
The Fandrich family operated a merchant store across the street from the mill.
A fire devastated the original mill building in the early 1900's. They rebuilt the mill and several other buildings over the years.
More structures for storage and loading trucks to haul corn, soybeans, & grain.
In 2008, the majority of the business consists of cleaning and hauling corn and soy beans.
The open shed housing storage bunkers for corn and soybeans, etc. The Belvidere Grainery is located about 4 blocks away from this mill.
